FantasyDVD Player Platinum – Good Looking and Powerful DVD Player
To my mind, if you have a computer, you can do away with other things – like for example a radio, since you can always listen to online radio stations on your computer; or a landline phone, since you can always make VoIP phone calls; or a DVD player since you can always watch your DVDs on your computer.
The DVD player you presumably threw out, came with preinstalled software that allowed it to play all your DVDs. Your computer on the other hand did not. To be able to watch your DVD collection on your desktop computer, or on your laptop computer, you will first have to get a DVD player. Out of all the various software applications that specialize in this task, I would like to draw attention to the Fantasy Software-developed FantasyDVD Player Platinum.
After you download and install this software application (download weighs in at about 6MB by the way) you will end up with a DVD player that does all the bits and pieces your standalone DVD player could do. FantasyDVD Player Platinum takes things one step further by providing bits and pieces the DVD player you had in your living room could no – things like panning, zooming, image capture, time-stretching, and thumbnail bookmarks.
You can use FantasyDVD Player Platinum to play DVDs obviously; you can use it to play video CDS and audio CDs as well. The moment you put the disk into your computer, be it a DVD, video CD or audio CD, FantasyDVD Player Platinum will detect the type of disk it is and will automatically select the correct playback method. Just to put things in perspective, FantasyDVD Player Platinum provides support for DivX, MPEG-2, MPEG-1, SVCD, AudioCD, MiniDVD, MPEG-2 HDTV, MWV-HDTV, OGG, MKV and some 70 other file formats. To put it bluntly, if you have media, no matter what format, FantasyDVD Player Platinum will surely be able to play it.
All the functionality FantasyDVD Player Platinum provides is does not cut into the application’s ease of use. During the development process, a lot of emphasis has been put on making this media player an easy to use application. You should not have a problem getting the most out of this powerful media player.
If your traditional DVD player could do it, FantasyDVD Player Platinum can do it better; and then it can do some more.
